The Power of Faith

The Inner Yes That Activates the Law

Faith is not wishful thinking.
Faith is not hoping that something might work out.
Faith is a spiritual certainty โ€” a deep inner knowing that the Good you are declaring is already established in the Mind of God and is now in the process of becoming visible.

In the Science of Mind, we understand that the Law always says yes. It does not decide, evaluate, or judge. It simply responds to the impress of our consciousness. And what gives our thought its creative momentum is faith.

Ernest Holmes reminds us:

โ€œFaith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. It is the inner conviction that what we cannot yet see is already established in Mind.โ€

Faith is the bridge between the invisible and the visible. It is the power that moves an idea out of possibility and into form.

Faith Is a Spiritual Faculty

Faith is not something we have to beg for or earn. It is a spiritual faculty within us โ€” just like love, imagination, and intelligence. It is part of our divine nature.

Every day, we use faith whether we realize it or not.
We have faith when we plant a seed and expect it to grow.
We have faith when we turn on a light switch and expect light.
We have faith when we speak a word and expect to be heard.

The only question is not whether we are using faith, but what we are placing our faith in.

When faith is placed in fear, we empower limitation.
When faith is placed in Spirit, we activate the Infinite.

Holmes says:

โ€œThe thing we are looking for is already done in the Mind of God, and our faith simply makes it visible.โ€

This is a radical and liberating idea. It means we are not trying to create something out of nothing. We are learning to accept and embody what already exists in the realm of Spirit.

Faith Is Not Forcing โ€” It Is Allowing

True faith is not strain. It is not pressure. It is not mental force.

Faith is relaxed expectancy.
It is the deep inner agreement with Truth.
It is the quiet confidence that says: This is so, even if I cannot yet see how.

When we try to force a demonstration, we are usually operating from fear โ€” fear that it wonโ€™t happen, fear that there isnโ€™t enough, fear that we must make it happen on our own.

But when we move into faith, we remember:

โ€œI am not the source. I am the channel.โ€
โ€œI am not the power. I am the place where the Power shows up.โ€

Faith is the inner posture of openness that allows the Law to do what it always does โ€” create according to consciousness.

Faith Gives Thought Its Creative Momentum

Thought is creative, but faith is what charges thought with conviction.

A casual thought has little power.
A doubtful thought has divided power.
But a thought held in faith โ€” in inner agreement and expectancy โ€” becomes a spiritual command.

This is why Spiritual Mind Treatment is not just saying words. It is declaring Truth from a place of deep inner knowing.

When you say:
โ€œI am whole.โ€
โ€œI am guided.โ€
โ€œI am supported.โ€
โ€œI am prospered.โ€

And you say it with faith โ€” not as a hope, but as a recognition โ€” the Law begins rearranging experience to match that recognition.

Real-Life Faith in Action

We see this all the time.

A person who believes in healing aligns their mind with wholeness โ€” and the body responds.

A person who believes in guidance begins to notice doors opening, ideas coming, and right connections appearing.

A person who believes in abundance starts to move, think, and choose differently โ€” and new streams of good begin to appear.

Not because God suddenly decided to bless them โ€”
But because they finally agreed with what Spirit already knew about them.

Faith Is Agreement with Reality, Not with Appearances

Appearances change.
Conditions shift.
But Truth is stable.

Faith is choosing to agree with Spiritual Reality instead of temporary evidence.

It is saying:
โ€œI do not deny what I see โ€” but I do not give it the final word.โ€

The final word belongs to Spirit.
The final word is Wholeness.
The final word is Order.
The final word is Good.

Living a Faith-Filled Life

To live by faith is not to escape the world โ€” it is to walk in the world anchored in Truth.

It is to meet uncertainty with trust.
It is to meet challenge with inner stability.
It is to meet change with confidence in the unchanging Presence within.

Faith is not dramatic.
It is steady.
It is calm.
It is sure.

It is the quiet โ€œYesโ€ spoken in the soul that sets the whole creative process in motion.

๐ŸŒŸ Closing Affirmation

Let us anchor this teaching in a living word of Truth:

I am anchored in the faith of Spirit.
I know that the Good I seek is already established in Divine Mind.
My thought is clear, my heart is open, and my faith is strong.
I trust the process of Life, and I allow the Law to work through me.
What I accept in consciousness, I now see made manifest in form.
And so it is.
